Normann Copenhagen presents Shorebirds, the wooden birds designed by Sigurjon Palsson, the Icelandic designer created a line of solid oak bird figures with a strong character.
The stylized look of these figures comes from their refined silhouettes without embellishment. The designer mainly focused on small details like the thickness of the body or the disposal of the legs and beck, to bring a unique personality to these 3 expressively designed birds. The taller one, inspired by curlews, has a long neck and a gracious down curving beck giving him a noble look. The second bird is zippy and energetic like a common redshank, this elegant bird which favors the company of other waders. Lastly the snipe is a small sociable bird which often travels in large groups.
Available in three sizes, these figures come with different colored lacquered legs: black, white, coral or blue.
Set the tallest on a shelf where it will pontificate proudly next to a decorative vase or other objects. Naturally, the more sociable other birds will rather stay in group, combining different sizes and colors to create a more elegant and living scene.
